College Scholarships

Purpose:
The purpose of this fund is to award a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior from Pinckney High School to aid in the financing of their education.

The applicants are judged by the Pinckney Lions Club selection committee. If you are selected for consideration, you will be notified if there will be an interview process.

Eligibility:
The applicants must: be graduating from Pinckney High School
intend to continue their education at a college, technical or trade school be a United States Citizen It should ne noted that applying for this scholarship does not guarentee an award will be granted.

Qualification:
The primary basis for selection are qualities such as initiative, character, responsibility, community service and academic improvement.

Criteria considered are one or more of the following:

Service to the community
Service to the school and/or fellow students
Participation/Achievement in activities in
community or elsewhere
Participation/Achievement in extra-curricular
school activities
Demonstrated caring of others

Scholarship application forms for each school yesr will be available in the fall through your guidance counselor and must be fully completed and submitted to:
